Dollar changes hands in 111 yen range in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, June 27 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 111 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Tuesday, largely in line with levels seen overnight in New York.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 111.90-91 yen compared with 111.82-92 yen in New York and 111.45-46 yen at 5 p.m. on Monday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1181-1181 dollars and 125.11-15 yen against 1.1177-1187 dollars and 125.02-12 yen in New York and 1.1200-1202 dollars and 124.83-87 yen in late Monday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
