ANKARA, June 25 (Xinhua) -- Six suspected members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) were killed in eastern Turkey on Sunday, local Dogan News Agency reported.
Two of them were reportedly killed by security forces while preparing for an attack in the eastern province of Van.
A clash occurred when security forces raided a house used by PKK members in Van's Selimbey neighbourhood.
Massive rounds of ammunition were seized during the raid, Dogan said.
Four other militants were killed in the eastern province of Tunceli during an anti-terror operation. The fight continued until the early hours of Sunday.
Separately, a group of PKK militants opened fire on a gendarmerie post in Tunceli's Sutluce area on the same day.
Militants escaped to a forested area following a strike by Turkish army. Casualties were reported amid an operation to apprehend the militants.
