LONDON, June 23 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.20 percent, or 15.16 points, to close at 7,424.13 points.
ITV, a British media company, soared 3.34 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Fresnillo and Ashtead Group increased by 2.88 percent and 2.47 percent, respectively.
The Europe's leading corrugated packaging company Smurfit Kappa Group was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 2.48 percent.
