Dollar changes hands in upper 110 yen range in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, June 16 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 110 yen range in early deals in Tokyo on Friday, largely in line with levels seen overnight in New York.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 110.99-111.00 yen compared with 110.88-98 yen in New York and 109.51-52 yen at 5 p.m. on Thursday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1148-1149 dollars and 123.75-79 yen against 1.1139-1149 dollars and 123.59-69 yen in New York and 1.1193-1194 dollars and 122.58-62 yen in late Thursday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
