YEREVAN, June 14 (Xinhua) -- Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and his Tajikistan counterpart Emomali Rahmon vowed here on Wendesday to improve the quality of their relations in all realms, the Armenian presidency said in a statement.
Speating to reporters after their meeting, Sargsyan highlighted the importance of Rahmon's visit as the two ex-Soviet nations mark the 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations this year.
Sargsyan also said that the framework of documents to be signed with Rahmon would enrich the agenda of bilateral relations since the current level of cooperation does not correspond to the level of amity between the people of the two countries.
Rahmon said the cooperation in a number of areas had a lot of potential for development, especially in the field of processing of agricultural goods.
Both Armenia and Tajikistan are members of the Russia-led Collective Security Treaty Organization. Enditem
