WINDHOEK, June 1 (Xinhua) -- Namibia's Brave Warriors left on Thursday for Ghana to prepare for their upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Group K assignment against Guinea Bissau set for June 10.
Head coach Ricardo Mannetti said the team needs to play some practise games in Ghana to improve their fitness.
"I am happy with how far we have come. It has been a difficult period for all of us and going to Ghana will give us chance to play some games, for team harmony and match fitness," he said.
Mannetti said that most of the 24 players in his plans for the up-coming fixture, the likes of Platinum Stars duo of Benson Shilongo and Willem Mwedihanga, will join the team after their clubs' CAF Confederations Cup assignments over the weekend.
