25 people killed in attack on army base in Afghanistan's Kandahar province

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, May 26 (Xinhua) -- Up to 25 people, including 18 soldiers and seven Taliban fighters, have been confirmed dead as the anti-government militant group attacked an army base in Shah Walikot district of Kandahar province on Friday, a local official said on the condition of anonymity.
