LONDON, May 25 (Xinhua) -- Greater Manchester Police said Thursday that they have found "potentially suspicious items" at an address in Wigan, a town in Manchester, as the investigation into the bombing attack on Manchester Arena continued.
An arrest was made in Wigan Wednesday in connection with the investigation, and, following the arrest, a house in Wigan was raided Thursday morning and is currently being searched, according to the police.
"Potentially suspicious items were found at the address and a large cordon has been put in place as EOD (explosive ordnance disposal) make an assessment, " the police said.
"We have a number of officers on the ground and are evacuating people as a matter of precaution as public safety is paramount to our investigation," the police also said.
