VILNIUS, May 24 (Xinhua) -- Beijing Education Exhibition 2017 kicked off Wednesday here, aiming at attracting talented local students to Beijing for higher education.
With the participation of 16 Beijing's universities and schools, the exhibition attracted over 500 local students and representatives of local educational institutions searching for studying and cooperation chances in Beijing.
"I think China is an exotic and interesting country, and Chinese language and culture just fascinate me, and I would like to study the international relations in Beijing, "said Juste, a 16-year-old high school girl from Vilnius.
Almost all the exhibition desks were full of students and parents anxious for consultations with exhibitors. There were also some local Chinese who were looking for opportunities to send their children to study in Beijing.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ma Taotao, Charge d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Lithuania, wished the educational institutions from both sides could seize Beijing Education Exhibition as an good opportunity and platform to find wonderful cooperative partners.
Fang Deying, leader of the delegation and vice president of Beijing Technology and Business University, said the Beijing Education Exhibition in Lithuania aims at enhancing mutual understandings between youths of the two countries and pushing forward bilateral educational exchanges and practical cooperation.
This exhibition also won big success both in Riga, the capital of Latvia, and Tallin, the capital of Estonia.
