FRANKFURT, May 24 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 16.28 points, or 0.13 percent, to close at 12,642.87 points.
Deutsche Bank lost the most among the blue chips, down by 1.48 percent, followed by Automotive manufacturer Daimler and chemical group BASF, which lost 1.35 percent and 0.99 percent respectively.
Multinational chemical firm Linde, German airlines Lufthansa and semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies were the top three winners, rising 2.73 percent, 1.81 percent and 1.52 percent respectively.
Daimler was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 399.47 million euros (447.12 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
