PARIS, April 6 (Xinhua) -- The head-to-head matchup for Davis Cup quarter-final between France and Britain has been confirmed after the draw took place at the Panorama XXL in Rouen on Thursday.

Lucas Pouille, French team's leading player with the highest ATP ranking (17), will curtain up Friday's singles matchup against British Kyle Edmund.

It will be followed by the contest between Jeremy Chardy of France, who replaced Gilles Simon into the squad, and Daniel Evans of Britain.

Saturday's doubles will feature Julien Benneteau and Nicolas Mahut of France, and Dominic Inglot and Jamie Murray of Britain.

Pouille will take on Evans, while Chardy will face Edmund in a reverse format on Sunday.

Britain won Davis Cup 10 times, one more than their French counterparts. In 21 previous encounters, Britain also led the record at 12-9.
