Chinese shares open slightly down Tuesday

BEIJING, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks opened slightly lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.08 percent at 3,154.4 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.06 percent lower at 10,072.51. ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, edged down 0.14 percent to open at 1,897.87.
