MOGADISHU, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- At least three people were on Thursday evening killed while three others were injured after an explosion occurred at a garage near Black-Sea village in the Hodan district in the Somali capital, officials said on Friday.
Spokesman of the local government in Mogadishu, Abdifitah Omar Halane told reporters that the blast was from a landmine concealed inside rubbish.
"The landmine explosion killed a security soldier and two civilians and wounded three others," Halane said.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, which came at a time when Somali security forces are tightening security in the capital.
