SINGAPORE, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks finished lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 19.66 points, or 0.68 percent, to close at 2,882.04.
A total of 1.28 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 757.6 million Singapore dollars (523.31 million U.S. dollars).
Decliners outnumbered gainers 276 to 141, while 674 others finished unchanged.
The STI index lost 9.61 points, or 0.33 percent, to close at 2,901.70 Wednesday.
