BEIJING, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.0 magnitude rocked northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region at 4:14 p.m. Beijing Time Wednesday, China Earthquake Network Center (CENC) said.
The epicenter is monitored at 38.50 north latitude and 90.15 east longitude, in Ruoqiang County of Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture of Bayingolin in Xinjiang, with a depth of 5 km, the CENC said.
