HOHHOT, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- Five people were killed and another injured Tuesday in a construction-triggered landslide near a coal mine in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, local safety watchdog said.
A nearby hillside collapsed when the workers were repairing a water pipe around 4 p.m. near a coal mine belonging to Inner Mongolia Pingzhuang Coal Group in the city of Chifeng, according to an official with the region's work safety supervision bureau.
The injured is receiving treatment at hospital and his injuries are not life threatening.
The accident is being investigated.
