JINAN, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- Six people died after a truck careered into a ditch in east China's Shandong Province, local authorities said Monday.
The accident happened in the village of Xuejiayu, Zichuan district, Zibo City, on Sunday morning. The light truck was carrying migrant workers, according to the district government.
Five people were pronounced dead at the scene, one died in hospital despite medical attention and six people sustained injuries.
The driver and owner of the truck are in police custody. The investigation continues.
