HANOI, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- An international forum on organic agriculture kicked off here on Friday with the participation of over 400 delegates across the world.

During the two-day forum, the delegates, including representatives from 27 Vietnamese and foreign agriculture associations, are to touch upon such issues as organic agricultural production and market, and international standards for organic products.

The Vietnamese government is expected to issue a decree on organic agricultural production in early 2018, according to the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Vietnam currently has some 70,000 hectares of organic farms. Vietnam's leading dairy product producers such as Vinamilk and TH True Milk have acquired international certification for organic agricultural production in the country.
