TOKYO, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks gained ground Wednesday morning, tracking the advance on Wall Street overnight despite the latest ballistic missile launch by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) earlier in the day.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average rose 90.62 points, or 0.40 percent, from Tuesday to 22,576.86.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 13.07 points, or 0.74 percent, at 1,785.14.
