SINGAPORE, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) dropping 0.17 percent, or 5.79 points, to close at 3,436.36.
A total of 1.67 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 862.3 million Singapore dollars (about 641.03 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 262 to 162.
The STI index closed up 0.55 percent, or 18.98 points, to close at 3,442.15 last Friday.
