PARIS, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- French shares edged up on Friday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 up 0.20 percent, or 10.92 points, to close at 5,390.46 points.
A total of 21 of the 40 selected large companies gained in the day.
European IT services corporation Atos advanced 1.72 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. French banking company SOCIETE GENERALE gained 1.53 percent. Another French banking corporation CREDIT AGRICAOLE rose 1.44 percent.
TechnipFMC, a UK-based company that provides complete project life cycle services, edged down 2.54 percent,the top loser of the blue chips. French mirror manufacturing corporation COMPAGNIE DE SAINT-GOBAIN went down by 0.89 percent, French car manifacturer PEUGEOT lost 0.47 percent. Enditem
