Morocco condemns terrorist attack on Nigeria's mosque

RABAT, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- Morocco's King Mohammed VI on Wednesday condemned "abject" terrorist attack that targeted a mosque in the Nigerian town of Mubi.

In a message to the Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari, the king expressed Morocco's firm condemnation of this cowardly criminal act, which is contrary to the precepts of Islam and universal human values.

He reiterated his full solidarity with the Nigerian people in this time of grief.

The king expressed to president Buhari, to all the bereaved families and the brotherly Nigerian people, his heartfelt condolences and sincere feelings of compassion.

The king also wished the victims' families patience and comfort, and the wounded prompt recovery.

At least 50 people were killed on Tuesday in a suicide bomb attack at a mosque in the northern Nigeria on the border with Cameroon.
