JAKARTA, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- Mount Agung volcano in Bali resort island of Indonesia erupted on Tuesday, spewing a column of ash 700 meters to the sky, a disaster agency official said.
Mount Agung, located in Karang Asem district, about 70 km from tourist hub Kuta, erupted at 17:05 p.m. (local time) and it is continuing now, spokesman of the national disaster management agency, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, told Xinhua in a text message.
