BEIJING, Nov. 21 (Xinhuanet) -- Nepali Ambassador to China Leela Mani Paudyal said Nepal rejoices over China’s development as the fruits of such development will be enjoyed by Nepal and the world at large.

“A more developed China would be more beneficial to us,” the ambassador said in a recent interview with Xinhuanet.

“China’s growing capability to help us is a matter of rejoice for us,” he said.

Nepal can definitely benefit from China’s technology, capital, market, investment, and China’s willingness to help, he added.

As for the benefits to the world, the ambassador shed light on China’s Belt and Road Initiative, increasing role in global governance and the report delivered at the just-concluded 19th CPC National Congress.

He hailed the Belt and Road Initiative, saying it is an important platform for Nepal.

Nepal looks forward to strengthening cooperation with China in the areas of infrastructure and people-to-people exchanges through the initiative, he said.

He also highlighted China’s growing influence in the global arena and China’s commitment to building a community of a shared future for mankind with other nations.

China gradually steps onto the stage to take part in global governance, and it has been recognized as a responsible stakeholder, he said.
