Uganda to host Kenya' s World Cup bound team in build-up games

KAMPALA, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- Uganda will face Kenya's U-19 in four international Cricket matches as build-up games for the 2018 Cricket World Cup.

Justine Ligyalingi, Chief Executive Officer of the Uganda Cricket Association, said on Thursday the team will arrive in Uganda on Saturday and the games will between Nov. 20-25.

The Kenyan team under Jimmy Kamande is one of the four African representatives at the junior global showpiece that is slated to run from Jan. 13- Feb. 3 next year.

Kenya will represent Africa alongside Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Ligyalingi said while the four games will help the hosts also prepare for the Division 4 World Cricket League tournament next year, Kenya will make sure they get in shape ahead of the World Cup event where they are paired against South Africa, New Zealand and defending champions West Indies.
