KUWAIT CITY, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- Five Kuwaiti citizens were killed and 13 others injured Thursday in a road accident while visiting the southern Iraqi city of Karbala, the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
A bus, transporting the Kuwaiti nationals, toppled over on the road between Basra city and Al-Nasseriya, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Iraq Salem Al-Zamanan told KUNA.
Those injured in the accident have been taken to hospitals in the city of Al-Nasseriya for treatment, he added.
He indicated that the Foreign Ministry of Kuwait had instructed a number of Kuwaiti diplomats to head to the city to follow up on the situation and check on those who were injured in the accident.
