HANOI, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's total goods retail sales and consumer service revenues were 3,258 trillion Vietnamese dong (nearly 144.2 billion U.S. dollars) between January to October, rising 10.7 percent on-year, the country's General Statistics Office said on Tuesday.
Specifically, Vietnam's goods retail sales stood at nearly 2,439 trillion Vietnamese dong (107.9 billion U.S. dollars) with sales of woodwork and construction materials growing 13.5 percent, food and foodstuffs growing 10.5 percent, garments and textiles growing 9.8 percent, home appliances growing 8.8 percent, and vehicles growing 8.4 percent.
Restaurant and accommodation revenues were 406.7 trillion Vietnamese dong (roughly 18 billion U.S. dollars), up 12.5 percent, and tourism revenues were 30.1 trillion Vietnamese dong (over 1.3 billion U.S. dollars), up 15.2 percent.
Vietnam hosted a total of nearly 10.5 million international arrivals in the first 10 months of this year, up 28.1 percent on-year, said the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.
