LONDON, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.25 percent, or 18.53 points, to close at 7,505.03 points.
Reckitt Benckiser Group, a British health, hygiene and home products producer, soared 3.09 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Experian and Compass Group increased by 2.77 percent and 2.38 percent, respectively.
The multinational airline holding company International Consolidated Airlines Group was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 6.94 percent. The property development company Berkeley Group Holdings dropped 3.47 percent. EasyJet, a major budget airline, fell 3.19 percent. Enditem
