Photo story: kind-hearted man takes care of abandoned child

Zhong Ruijin makes lunch at home in Liantang Village of Huichang County, east China's Jiangxi Province, Oct. 26, 2017. Zhong Jiagu was abandoned by his impoverished parents 30 years ago when he was born with incurable congenital rickets. Fortunately for the newborn baby, he was adopted by villager Zhong Ruijin as Zhong's grandson. The kind-hearted man has been taking good care of his grandchild over the past 30 years.
