BEIJING, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- A short sports movie co-produced by Sports Geography and Xinhua News Agency has been shortlisted for a worldwide championship of cinema, television, and sport culture.
"Lao Wang: A Handsome Old Man Shares His Thoughts on Dreams, Life and Workouts" is one of three finalists selected from over 1,000 Chinese contestants, for Sports Movies & TV - Milan International FICTS Fest which is organized by Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs (FICTS).
"Lao Wang" chronicles life of 82-year-old Chinese actor Wang Deshun, known as China's hottest grandpa and venerated in the country as an example of how to grow old without fading away.
Sports Geography, a sports movie company launched in October 1, 2016, has released 42 movies with Xinhua Sports News, with most productions topping sports video billboards on the popular Chinese portal Tencent.
The 2017 Milan International FICTS Fest is scheduled for Nov.15-20.
