KABUL, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met Sweden's Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom here on Wednesday and exchanged views on issues of mutual interests, the presidential palace said in a statement Thursday.
The Swedish top diplomat, according to the statement, assured her country's continued support for Afghanistan.
"Sweden will continue to support the Afghan government and its people and Sweden is committed to expending its relations with Afghanistan," the statement quoted Wallstrom as saying.
Enhancing bilateral relations between Sweden and Afghanistan and the Afghan peace process were also discussed in the meeting, the statement added.
In the meeting, Ghani expressed his gratitude over Sweden's cooperation, especially in education sector in Afghanistan, the statement added.
