SINGAPORE, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) dropping 0.45 percent or 15.13 points to close at 3334.67.
A total of 1.73 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.09 billion Singapore dollars (about 799.39 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 222 to 202.
The STI index closed up 0.27 percent or 9.07 points to close at 3349.80. Monday.
