MANILA, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte reportedly declared on Tuesday the liberation of the southern city Marawi after nearly five months of fighting.

The Malacanang presidential palace has yet to issue an official confirmation on this.
