SINGAPORE, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- Singaporean stocks closed higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) rising 0.12 percent or 3.95 points to close at 3323.06.
A total of 1.75 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.13 billion Singapore dollars (about 839 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 252 to 206.
The STI index closed up 0.49 percent or 16.02 points to close at 3319.11 last Friday. Enditem
