U.S. dollar retreats against most major currencies

NEW YORK, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar extended losses against most major currencies on Friday, as investors mainly digested the newly-released economic data.

In late New York trading, the euro decreased to 1.1819 dollars from 1.1843 dollars in the previous session, while the dollar bought 111.87 Japanese yen, lower than 112.20 yen of the previous session.
