FRANKFURT, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 20.46 points, or 0.16 percent, to close at 12,976.40 points.
Energy groups RWE and E.ON won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.08 percent and 1.97 percent respectively. German maker of sportswear and equipment Adidas rose by 1.40 percent.
Deutsche bank lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 2.27 percent. German industrial giant Thyssenkrupp and multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement went down by 2.07 percent and 1.58 percent respectively.
Deutsche Bank was the most-traded share with a turnover of 159.72 million euros (187.60 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
