MUMBAI, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- Indian markets closed flat on a positive note Monday.
Equity benchmarks as well as broader markets continued to consolidate as investors awaited second quarter earnings season that will begin Tuesday with South Indian Bank.
The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 31,846.89, 32.67 points or 0.1 percent up compared to its previous close at 31,814.22.
