ISLAMABAD, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- At least five people were killed and one was seriously wounded when unknown gunmen opened fire at their vehicle in Pakistan's southwestern city of Quetta on Monday morning, local Urdu TV channel Dunya reported.
According to the report, the firing incident took place at about 7:15 a.m. local time when unknown armed men riding motorcycles sprayed bullets at a vehicle on the Kasi road, a densely populated area of the city.
The gunmen escaped the site after the firing. Police have arrived at the area and cordoned it off for search operation, said the report, adding that the bodies and injured have been shifted to the Civil Hospital in the city for medico-legal formalities.
No group has claimed the attack yet.
