PARIS, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- Three susepcts, who believed to conduct an attack via a home-made bomb found in a building in Paris, will be placed under formal investigation, Paris Prosecutor Francois Molins said on Friday.

The three, Aymen B, Amine A, and Sami B all have criminal backgrounds in relation with petty crimes including violence, driving without license and roberry, according to Molins.

They refused to answer police questions. However, other individuals detained earlier this week were released, said the prosecutor.

At this stage of probe, Molins said there were no answers on why this building had been targeted and if the suspects have links with the Islamic State.

"No hypothesis is favored. We have to be cautious and wait the investigation results," he said.

Last Saturday, Paris police found two gas cylinders in the hall of a building in the city's 16th arrondissement and two others on the sidewalk. They also discovered a mobile phone linked to the cylinders, which was believed to be home-made bomb.
