Dollar changes hands in upper 112 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 112 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Tuesday, largely in line with its levels seen overnight in New York.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 112.78-79 yen compared with 112.70-80 yen in New York and 112.98-99 yen at 5 p.m. on Monday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1732-1733 dollars and 132.31-32 yen against 1.1726-1736 dollars and 132.22-32 yen in New York and 1.1741-1743 dollars and 132.65-69 yen in late Monday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
