Urgent: London railway station evacuated due to suspicious package

LONDON, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- London's East Croydon station has been evacuated Monday as police are investigating suspect package, British Transport Police (BTP) tweeted on Monday.

"We're still at #EastCroydon investigating a suspicious item," tweeted the BTP.

A police spokesman said emergency services were on scene from about 7 p.m. while trains were not able to pass through the station. Enditem
