BERLIN, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- Germany head coach Joachim Loew has revealed his squad for the two upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers on Friday.
Bayern Munich's Jerome Boateng returned the German national team after a long injury break. The 29-year-old defender has been reappointed and joins his club mates Thomas Mueller, Sebastian Rudy, Mats Hummels, Niklas Suele and Joshua Kimmich.
Manchester City's Leroy Sane returns as well, while Manuel Neuer, Jonas Hector, Mario Gomez, Mesut Oezil and Sami Khedira will be out of action due to injuries.
"It is very unfortunate that some of our key players won't be with us. It will be more important for us that these players are available next year," Loew said.
The current FIFA World champions will be seeking to extend their perfect qualifying record. The front-runners in Group C will travel to Northern Ireland on October 5 before hosting Azerbaijan three days later.
"We have played a faultless qualification so far but we have continue to do so. Our goal is to wrap up ten victories from ten games," Loew said.
Germany lead Group C followed by Northern Ireland, Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Norway and San Marino.
