SINGAPORE, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) declining 0.28 percent or 9.01 points to close at 3227.14.
A total of 2.07 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.26 billion Singapore dollars (about 928.09 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 212 to 184.
The STI index went up 0.75 percent or 24.11 points to close at 3236.14 on Wednesday.
