MADRID, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares gained on Wednesday, with the benchmark Ibex-35 up 1.76 percent, or 179.3 points, to close at 10,368.90 points.
A total of 27 of the selected 35 large companies rose in the day.
Spain's fourth largest bank Banc Sabadell advanced 6.86 percent, being the top gainer of the day. It was followed by insurance company Mapfre and Spain's third largest bank Caixabank that rose 5.18 percent and 4.39 percent, respectively.
Casing company Viscofan went down 0.52 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. Spain's energy company Iberdrola lost 0.50 percent and electricity company Endesa went down 0.36 percent. Enditem
