NEW DELHI, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- At least 16 coaches of a goods train derailed early Wednesday in India's eastern state of Odisha, local media reports said.
The train derailed at around 4:00 a.m. local time near Nergundi station in Cuttack city.
So far no reports of deaths or injuries to anyone were reported in the derailment. However, it has affected the traffic on the route.
According to reports, the fertilizer-laden train was coming from Gangavaram Port on its way to Haibargaon.
Top railway officials have reached the spot to take stock of the situation.
