LONDON, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Tuesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.21 percent, or 15.55 points, to close at 7,285.74 points.
NMC Health, a multinational health care company, soared 2.76 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Carnival and EasyJet increased by 2.68 percent and 1.61 percent, respectively.
The global specialty biopharmaceutical company Shire was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 2.36 percent. WPP, a British multinational advertising and public relations company, dropped 1.69 percent. TUI, the multinational travel and tourism company, fell 1.53 percent. Enditem
