SINGAPORE, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Singapore Economic Development Board announced on Tuesday that the country's manufacturing output grew 19.1 percent year on year in August.
Excluding biomedical manufacturing, output grew 17.8 percent year on year, according to a press release from the authority.
On a three-month moving average basis, Singapore's manufacturing output rose 17.6 percent year on year in August. On a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, the manufacturing output increased 0.6 percent in the month.
In a breakdown, the electronics cluster's output increased 38.7 percent year on year in August, the biomedical manufacturing cluster's output grew 25.1 percent year on year, the precision engineering cluster's output grew 10.7 percent year on year, the transport engineering cluster's output increased 5.5 percent year on year, the chemicals cluster's output increased 1.8 percent year on year, the general manufacturing industries cluster's output fell 0.6 percent year on year.
