Indonesia sets 2-gold target in badminton world junior championship

JAKARTA, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia has targeted two gold medals at the badminton world junior championship next month in Yogyakarta province of the country, a senior official said here on Monday.

Head of sport development of the badminton association, Susi Susanti, said, "Indonesia's target for the singles is the champion, but for the group it is minimally going to semifinal or more than that."

The junior championship is scheduled to be played from Oct. 9 to 22 this year.

Indonesia will send three pairs each for the men's doubles and women's doubles, and four players each for the men's singles and the women's singles as well as the mixed doubles, she said.
