BANGKOK, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- A man blasted a bank ATM in Bangkok and took away more than over 480,000 (14,500 U.S. dollars) baht on Wednesday, Thai police said.
The explosion happened near a supermarket with the ATM of Bangkok Bank on fire and a man in black, around 30 years old, ran away by his motorbike, according to the local media.
According to a CCTV footage of the area, the debris of the machine scattered around. Nobody was hurt in the blast.
Police said the robber used just five minutes to destroy the ATM and snatched away 481,700 baht (14,560 U.S. dollars). They believed the robber had knowledge of bomb-making.
Initial investigation still could not identify the type of the bomb, the Bangkokbiz News said.
