RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- At least 11 people were killed and 10 others injured as a result of a serious car accident in Brazil, official sources confirmed Monday.
According to the Federal Highway Police, the accident happened Sunday night, involving a van, two trucks and a private vehicle in the Brazilian state of Espirito Santo.
A truck that carried granite lost control and invaded the opposite direction, colliding with a van in which a dance group was returning to its municipality after a performance.
The van hit another truck carrying beer and a vehicle passing by, and 11 people in the van were killed.
Among the injured, seven were discharged, and three others remained in hospital.
